“DSB Conference 2022”, organized by the PhD students of the Doctoral School of Biology in ELTE was held in Budapest, December 1st 2022.
Noémi Borbely and Yusuf Can Özdemir, our colleagues and PhD students in ELTE presented their studies “Genetic study of modern and medieval Székely Land” and “Ancient genomics of the Altai Region in the 4th-14th centuries” in the flash poster presentation session of the conference. Noémi Borbely gave a comprehensive summary of the genetic history of the Székelys with samples from 12th-16th century and the modern day, while Yusuf Can Özdemir introduced preliminary results from the Altai region's medieval period.
