On April 9th, 2024, a delegation from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lanzhou University and ATES (Association for Trans-Eurasia Exchange and Silk-Road Civilization Development) will arrive at the HUN-REN Research Centre for the Humanities.

The delegation is looking for collaborative partners for joint research. They hold a consultation with Balázs Balogh, the director general of the HUN-REN Humanities Research Center, about possible joint research and collaborations, and also sign a framework agreement.

In the afternoon, the Head of ATES, Prof. Fahu Chen, will give a plenary lecture. This will be followed by a joint workshop of researchers from the HUN-REN Research Centre for the Humanities and the Chinese delegation.

During the afternoon, a colleague of our institute, Yusuf Can Özdemir, presents his research project entitled "Genetic history of the Altai region across the 4th-12th centuries CE".

On April 11th, 2024, the members of the guest delegation will visit the Institute of Archaeology and the Institute of Archaeogenomics.
